How we help
Discover how RBVE transforms lives by creating jobs, providing homes, and building communities for veterans and people with disabilities across the UK.
How We Help
Without the right support, many are trapped in a cycle: having no job means having no home and having no home means having no fixed address. Without one, finding work is nearly impossible. As confidence erodes, motivation fades, and health declines, the barriers grow. But with the right intervention—jobs, homes, and community— we believe people can thrive.
Creating Jobs
Employment is the key to independence. At RBVE, we create real jobs for veterans and people with disabilities that build confidence and offer financial stability.
Through our national social enterprises, Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company (BBMC) and Scotland’s Bravest Manufacturing Company (SBMC), we provide meaningful jobs in manufacturing, logistics, and fulfilment. More than 70% of our workforce are veterans, have a disability, or both.
For those furthest from work, we offer tailored employment support through Lifeworks. This nationally recognised programme sees 80% of participants move into paid employment or training within 18 months.
Providing Homes
RBVE is tackling veteran homelessness head-on through our award-winning Village in Aylesford, Kent, currently home to 300 veterans.
The Centenary Village, our £28 million expansion, will deliver 100 additional homes for 100 veterans and their families by 2027. Complete with vital community facilities including a gym, IT learning suite, and café, it encourages intergenerational connection.
Our housing model pairs safe, accessible homes with wraparound support, volunteering, and employment opportunities. It’s a blueprint for independent living, backed by national and local partners.
Building Communities
We don’t just offer a place to live, we create communities where people feel safe, supported, and part of something greater.
Our community includes veterans of all ages, ranks, and service backgrounds. Whether they are facing life-changing injuries or mental health challenges, we meet them where they are, with compassion and respect. We also support the families of veterans.
Though diverse, our communities are united by a shared understanding of service and disability. That common ground opens communication between generations, creates mutual support, and creates a sense of belonging.
