Step-In Programme – Community Care for Veterans

Community spirit remains at the heart of RBVE. Our support isn’t a one-off grant, but a pathway to long-term stability, where individuals can live independently in their own homes and thrive in meaningful work.

We take action in our village in Aylesford in Kent and provide veterans short term accommodation and give them the tools to rebuild their lives beyond service.

We treat every person as an individual, creating a holistic package of support that suits their specific needs through RBVE’s dedicated Step-In programme.

We work with our partners across healthcare to develop this package, whilst supporting the people we serve on a range of life skills to help them gain independence in civilian life.

A Place to Call Home

We believe every veteran deserves a safe, supportive place to rebuild their life. Our village is home to over 300 ex-servicemen and women, each on their own unique Step-In journey a personalised path toward independence and stability.

Living among fellow veterans, residents become part of a close-knit community that understands their experiences and shares their goals. Joining our village is more than finding a home it’s the first step toward a brighter future in Civvy Street.
